Clay County has begun a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study to identify the best alternative for the extension of College Drive. College Drive Extension North is a study to determine the cost and impacts of establishing a new connection between Blanding Boulevard (SR 21) and Branan Field/Chaffee Road (SR 23). This study will be conducted following the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) guidelines to ensure that consideration is given to environmental and social resources within the project corridor.

Overview of this Study
Blanding Boulevard is one of the major linkages between the growing areas of northeastern Clay County and the greater Jacksonville area. It is a highly congested roadway, due primarily to the lack of suitable alternative routes. More >>
